The Newseum's new facility will contain a number of theatre and interactive displays. Shown here are concept designs that were developed for one of them. The idea was to have a theatre with a more abstract experience to contrast the linear "sit and watch" theatre rooms. The theme of the room covers the "power of the word" and its effect on thought and action, this content would be added later as it is refined. My goal was to use the idea of a "floating word tank" in a way that would create a mood, drawing people in and engaging them to touch and explore the space.
